Upcoming Grow Activities

The April Sunday working party will see us planting up a ‘nectar bar’ to feed all our pollinators in the children’s area. Come along and help us plant this lavender hedge and other nectar-rich flowers. We’ll be making a start on planting up our sunflower tunnel as well – using the seeds from last year’s sunflower den. The children’s area is really coming on now! Please give us feedback if you and your children visit there.

It’s the school holidays, so if you fancy it, bring the family down to St Julian’s community cafe on Thursday 7th to help us sow more sunflowers – for yourselves and for the community growing spaces. We’ll have other seeds available too. The cafe is held in St Julian’s church hall on Abbots Avenue. We can recommend the cake!

Not long now until our popular Sopwell Gardeners[ Question Time. We’re in the process of finalising our panel and will send an email out shortly with Eventbrite details to book your place.

If you’d like to come along to our working party sessions, drop us a line or simply pop along. We’ll need to collect a few details and brief you on some basic health & safety etc before you start lending a hand.

No need to book, just turn up, and no need to commit. We’d appreciate you following sensible COVID precautions.
